Petition Message:	Please bring Mixed Martial Arts to New York! I might not live in New York, but I'm ready to spend my money here. I am a huge fan of Mixed Martial Arts and I have been looking forward to the sport's legalization in New York for some time now. When New York's Athletic Commission starts sanctioning bouts I'm going to not only attend the event -- I'm going to shop in New York's stores, eat in its restaurants and maybe even spend the night in one of your hotels. And millions of MMA fans from across the country and world will join me. Recently, Governor Paterson recognized these benefits and included Mixed Martial Arts regulation in his proposed budget for the upcoming year. I am hoping that the New York State legislature will join with the Governor and pass his proposed budget, which would finally bring MMA to New York. It is time for New York to the join the 44 other states, including Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, in regulating this sport.
